The chainsaw was a gift from Argentinian President and right-wing darling Javier Milei, a man whose recent crypto scam promotion was a total rug pull that left countless supporters devastated and broke.
Milei is facing calls for impeachment.
You'd think this would make Milei politically radioactive. Yet, there was Musk, standing next to him, proudly wielding the gifted chainsaw at CPAC with a grin on his face as if nothing had happened.
Even better, the promoter of Milei’s LIBRA meme coin, Hayden Davis, who also promoted Melania’s meme coin, has admitted that he controlled $100 million of LIBRA and used bots to drive purchases and create fake demand.
In fact, the decentralized exchange used to launch LIBRA, Meteora, is the same one that launched $TRUMP and $MELANIA.
DKP has called for banning these meme coins and have pointed out that states have the authority to ban these scams without action from DC. We have no party affiliation or association with anyone running for office. We’re here to inform and empower the people who can put an end to these scams.
Elon Musk is telling us he's up for more. Corrupt crypto scams? He's done that. He'd do it again. He's up there being cheered on by a guy — a president of a country — who just pulled off a whopper of his own.
The chainsaw symbolism is a slap in the face to Americans. Musk is taking the proverbial chainsaw to our government agencies, employee protections, and programs.
Elon Musk's DOGE team purports to be saving billions of dollars with this "slash it all" approach. But a Wall Street Journal analysis finds their claims of $55 billion in savings to be vastly overblown with the actual figure closer to $2.6 billion.
This doesn't account for the disorganized mess of how he's gone about things, causing damage that could take years – and a lot of money — to untangle.
The point of this for Elon was never to trim fat; it was to set the stage for economic freefall while enriching himself and his allies.
Where are the checks and balances?
Government agencies seem paralyzed, unable, or unwilling to hold Musk accountable.
